Filming Jerusalem’s Holy Sites
We provide documentary production services across Jerusalem’s Christian, Jewish and Muslim holy sites, the Old City and its surrounding neighbourhoods, coordinating access and permits with the relevant religious and civil authorities.
Many Jerusalem productions cross between Israeli- and Palestinian-administered areas and need a crew who knows the permits, checkpoints and timing involved — we manage this daily, so crews and equipment cross quickly and safely.
A City That Needs Careful Handling
Jerusalem is unlike any other location we work in: the same square kilometre of the Old City is sacred ground to three religions, administered through a patchwork of civil, religious and community authorities, and any documentary filming there has to account for prayer times, religious holidays and community sensitivities that shift the plan week to week. Our fixers work these logistics daily — securing access to the Western Wall plaza, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Al-Aqsa and the wider Haram al-Sharif compound, and the network of monasteries, seminaries and shrines through the Old City’s four quarters.
Beyond the Old City, Jerusalem’s modern neighbourhoods, government institutions, universities and hospitals all come with their own access rules, and East Jerusalem in particular needs a fixer who understands the political and administrative lines that run through the city — not just a permit, but the judgment to know who to ask, and how.
