Standby Crews, Fast Response
At any given time we have TV news video crews on standby in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Gaza City, with access to immediate news updates and tips that let us forward information to crews in real time. Our Experience Covering War
We’ve covered chaotic periods before — the 2nd Intifada, the 2006 Lebanon war, and several Gaza operations — but October 7, 2023 was different in scale. On the first day we established a front centre in Sderot, and by October 8 we were shuttling clients from Tel Aviv airport to the front lines in the south. Within 48 hours we had more than 15 fixers working with visiting journalists and camera crews from Europe, the US, Canada, Japan, China, Singapore and Hong Kong, while our own news crews filmed and interviewed for remote coverage of additional clients.
We set up a virtual media centre, with researchers and coordinators sharing real-time information and an alert map with our teams, and continued refining that operation through the end of 2023 — support that continues today for both visiting and remote news clients.
