Drone & Aerial Filming in Israel for Documentaries
Our archive holds many hours of 4K and HD aerial footage of Israel filmed from helicopters and light aircraft, and we’re equally experienced flying drones with stabilized HD/4K cameras for documentary productions.
Helicopter, Aircraft & Drone Options
For an aerial filming shoot, we can provide an aerial videographer or arrange a helicopter fitted for professional stabilized cameras. Depending on the production, your own cameraman may be able to fly, or an Israeli cameraman may need to film for you — we arrange flight permits, equipment and the shoot plan before takeoff.
Our Drone Fleet & Operators
We own and operate our own fleet of stabilized 4K drones, flown by licensed operators with years of experience filming across Israel’s varied and often restricted airspace — coastal cities, archaeological sites, religious compounds, agricultural land and, when cleared, areas close to military and border zones. Our drones carry professional gimbal-stabilized cameras capable of cinematic HD and 4K footage, along with the smaller, more discreet units useful for interiors, tight urban shots or locations where a large aircraft isn’t practical or permitted.
Because we fly regularly across the whole country, our operators already hold the standing relationships and know-how needed to secure flight clearance quickly — including coordination with air traffic control near Ben Gurion Airport, the Israel Nature and Parks Authority for reserves and national parks, and, where relevant, military authorities for areas near sensitive installations or the Gaza and Lebanon borders. A visiting production doesn’t need its own drone operator or import equipment — we bring the aircraft, the operator and the paperwork.
What We’ve Flown
Our aerial team has filmed everything from wide establishing shots of Jerusalem’s Old City and Tel Aviv’s skyline to close, dynamic coverage of archaeological digs, coastline, the Dead Sea’s salt formations and the Negev and Judean deserts, in both 4K and legacy HD. We plan each flight around the specific shot list a documentary needs — a single establishing shot, a full aerial sequence, or ongoing coverage across a multi-day shoot — and can turn footage around quickly when a production is on a tight broadcast deadline.
Existing Aerial Footage
If you don’t need a fresh flight, our stock archive already holds 4K/HD aerial footage of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, the Dead Sea, Masada, the north and more — browse it under Israel Stock Footage. Our aerial work has also supported landmark productions such as the Jerusalem 3D IMAX film.
