Film Permits in Israel for Reality TV Productions
Our location managers acquire film permits and security provisions for reality tv production across Israel, Jerusalem and the Palestinian Authority areas, drawing on relationships built over more than 27 years.
How We Secure a Permit
With a record of hundreds of film productions in Israel, our location managers advise on the requirements and specifications for the permit your shoot needs, then apply to the relevant authorities on your behalf — often through expedited processes that save valuable time.
Many productions cross between Israeli- and Palestinian-administered areas, including Jerusalem, and need a crew who knows the permits, checkpoints and timing involved. We manage this daily, so crews and equipment cross quickly and safely.
Experience Across Formats
Highlight Films has more than 28 years of experience producing reality formats, documentary series and studio programs across Israel, the Palestinian Authority areas and the wider Middle East, working with broadcasters and streamers including the BBC, Netflix, Channel 4, National Geographic, Discovery and Arte. Our producers assemble local crews in Israel, the West Bank or Gaza and handle every element of ground logistics, from permits and personnel to equipment and security, to the same professional standard on every shoot.
Protocols That Keep Productions Moving
Our location managers oversee each production’s local footprint from the first application through to wrap, supervising the camera crew on the ground and coordinating with every authority and party involved in the shoot. We follow clear, tested protocols for every permit and every crossing point, which is what lets a reality format with a tight shooting schedule move between Israeli- and Palestinian-administered areas without losing a day of filming.
Local Team, Local Knowledge
Highlight Films works with both Israeli and Palestinian location managers, so an Israeli team accompanies productions filming inside Israel, while a Palestinian team supports shoots in the West Bank or Gaza. Producers in our Tel Aviv office stay in constant contact with location managers in the field, providing logistical support and local research so nothing holds up your shoot once cameras are rolling.
