A Full Range of Documentary Production Services

We offer a wide range of documentary film production services in Israel to facilitate an affordable production at the highest professional standards. We often provide a full package of services — from initial research to coordination, filming and post-production. In many cases the director or producer is the only one traveling to Israel, while we take responsibility for the professional crew and production staff.

Highlight Films has provided production services for more than 300 documentary films produced in Israel and Palestine, working with leading production companies and broadcasters in Europe, Asia, Canada and the United States since 1998.

Our Fixers

We appoint a coordinator (fixer) to each documentary production in Israel. While the fixer is with the crew on location, they stay in constant touch with our Tel Aviv office, which provides news alerts, logistical assistance and online research when needed. Highlight Films also operates in Palestine — our professional Palestinian production team is based in Bethlehem and can provide any production service there. We use interview bookers to find the best interviewees for each project.

Our Footage

Our stock footage archive is among the best in Israel, most of it filmed by our own experienced documentary cameramen on location. Rather than filming news for archive, we try to capture excellent documentary footage during news events or on opportunities that suit documentary production. Our archive covers locations throughout the country, filmed on the ground and from the air.

Art Films & Museum Installations

Our teams have completed a considerable list of art films and art projects in Israel, both video and stills, produced within a reasonable budget using creativity and experience in planning and execution — the majority for established TV channels, museums and world-renowned artists.

We have completed several turnkey museum projects in Israel. In 2023–2024, Highlight Films was commissioned by The Museum of Tolerance in Jerusalem to produce a video installation about the women who survived the October 7 massacre — “From Darkness to Light,” an exhibition of 35 testimonies filmed by our crews and directed by Noam Shalev.
